I am writing in response to the job posting on your website for an Inside Sales Representative. My background in inside and outside sales, as well as my experience in pharmaceutical sales, makes me a great fit for the position.
In my five years with my previous employer, I gained experience in both inside and outside sales. I led my team to a company record of $1.3 million quarterly revenue. As team leader, I stressed the importance of teamwork, reliability, accountability and goal setting (and reaching). I scheduled and ran weekly meetings, at which each team member would give an update on his or her weekly sales, current and future prospects and up-to-date total in sales. I would bring this leadership, organization and success to Acme Corporation.
While with Company X, I consistently ranked in the top one percent of sales representatives nationwide. After two years, the company asked me to help open up a new office in Los Angeles. This entailed prospecting for potential clients, cold calling doctors and setting up face-to-face meetings. After only 18 months, the Los Angeles office became the most profitable branch of 65 offices. I know Acme Corporation is looking to expand their sales force into the Los Angeles area, and I am confident this previous experience would prove to be an invaluable addition to your team.
